Examples of my work
I work with a wide range of charitable organisations, including NGOs, think tanks and funders, particularly focusing on refugee and migration issues. I love developing and running new initiatives, projects and partnerships, and have been lucky enough to collaborate with lots of great organisations and consultants. Recent projects I’m particularly proud of include:
The ground-breaking research into the UK migration and refugee charity sector I have co-developed and produced for funder network Migration Exchange (see here, here and here) - which (among other impacts) has guided over £2m of emergency Covid funding.
My ongoing role as a consultant adviser to Unbound Philanthropy, supporting critical UK work on climate change and migration - read our latest report here. I sit on the advisory committee for the Platform on Disaster Displacement for Unbound, and am co-developing a new project into UK internal climate displacement.
Several high impact grant schemes, projects and networks I’ve helped to design, launch, and raise over £1m to support, include:
The South West Immigration Alliance, a unique network of charitable organisations supporting refugees and migrants across the SW of England
The Refugee Rent Deposit Initiative, an innovative national initiative run by BEAM in partnership with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme
An emergency small grants scheme for LandAid, which funded dozens of grassroots projects supporting Ukrainian refugees
I enjoy helping others to reflect and evaluate their impact. I’m an experienced evaluator and learning partner, and have delivered formative and summative evaluations for Lloyds Bank Foundation, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, European Network on Statelessness, and Hackney Migrant Centre among others.
